1 - Temperature Reducation |

|
|
When the solar control film is used in a vehicle's
windshield, it keeps the handle temperature
or the air temperature around the handle 10¢XC
lower than those of a vehicle without the
solar control film. |

2 - Reducation of Skin Irritation |

|
Direct sun light tends to cause skin sensation.
This sensation is mainly due to mid-IR rays.
In the mid-IR range, the rays at 1450nm and
1900nm are well absorbed by human skin, and
cause the sensation. Most Infra Red rays near
these wavelengths can not transmit through
Sekisui's solar control interlayer film. |

Feature
3 - Transmittance of Electromagnetic Wave |
 |

|
|
The solar control interlayer film can transmit
radio waves emitted from such as radios or
cell phones. Because conventional heat reflecting
glass shields those radio waves, a vehicle's
windshield made of the glass may cause the
failure of communication with ETC. Such problems
do not occur if the solar control interlayer
film is used because it does not shield radio
waves at any wavelength. |
